Not at all. We work with complete beginners of all ages from 0–17. What matters most is personality — a warm smile, bright eyes and the confidence to enjoy being in front of the camera — far more than any prior experience. Many of the children we work with have never been in front of a professional camera before.
A clear, recent smartphone photo is all you need. It should show your child's face well in natural light. Avoid heavy filters, sunglasses, or distracting backgrounds. Natural and relaxed is always better than overly posed.
